I’m Wegulo Mercy Mirembe, the founder and creative director of Wegulo Studios—a boutique African visual brand rooted in modern luxury and inspired storytelling.
My journey began in 2020 with photography, driven by a deep appreciation for detail, beauty, and the power of capturing timeless moments. In 2024, I expanded into cinematography, where motion, mood, and narrative allowed me to tell fuller, richer stories.
Through my lens, I explore the intersection of culture, elegance, and emotion. I’m deeply inspired by Africa—its people, design, rituals, professional growth and resilience. Our work seeks not only to preserve beauty but to challenge outdated narratives and elevate the continent’s voice on the global stage.
